EP Laboratory Supervisor / Radiology

Shift: Days, Monday through Friday

Employment Type: 13-Week Contract

MLee Healthcare is seeking an experienced and motivated Cardiac Cath (EP) Lab Supervisor to lead a dynamic team of healthcare professionals. The Radiology Technologist oversees daily operations and management of the EP Labs, including supervision of the EP Team. They serve as the primary liaison for interactions with Electrophysiologists, Anesthesia providers, EP vendors, Schedulers, Nursing Clinical Supervisors, and other essential resources to ensure effective operational flow of EP services. Responsibilities include establishing guidelines, protocols, policies, and competencies aligned with Heart Rhythm Society practice guidelines and regulatory standards. They manage staffing resources, operational supplies, inventory, new products, and medications. This position reports directly to the Director of the CCL/EP Labs.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible and accountable for all supplies and equipment used within the labs.
  • Supervise the daily operations of the Cardiac Cath Lab, including scheduling procedures, staffing, and resource allocation.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, quality assurance standards, and safety protocols within the Cath Lab.
  • Coordinate with physicians, nurses, and support staff to optimize patient care delivery and procedural outcomes.
  • Monitor and evaluate Cath Lab performance metrics, such as procedure volume, patient outcomes, and staff productivity.
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and protocols to enhance efficiency and patient satisfaction in the Cath Lab.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, provide mentorship, and facilitate professional development opportunities for Cath Lab staff.
  • Collaborate with purchasing and supply chain management to ensure adequate inventory of supplies and equipment.
  • Oversee Cath Lab budget planning and financial management, ensuring cost-effective operations.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and committees to promote collaboration and continuity of care.
  • Stay current with advancements in cardiac catheterization techniques, technologies, and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an approved paramedic, LPN, or cardiovascular technology program
  • Associate's degree in medical laboratory technology (MLT) or Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science (MLS)
  • Minimum 3 year's experience in EP Lab
  • Leadership experience required
  • NASPE certification preferred
  • BLS is required (AHA)
