Job description

We are seeking a Lab Associate to join IQVIA Laboratories in Durham.

Job Summary:
Perform routine laboratory testing procedures to generate data used in clinical trials research while following SOPs and applicable regulatory requirements. Support daily lab operations through specimen analysis, result documentation, material preparation, and collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders.
What You'll Be Doing:
  • Perform routine analysis of specimens and document results in accordance with SOPs and applicable regulatory guidelines
  • Evaluate the validity of analytical results against algorithms displayed by the laboratory computer system
  • Identify, document, and escalate potential performance errors or unusual results to senior laboratory personnel
  • Prepare buffers and solutions required for analysis and manage post-analysis sample and reagent storage
  • Assist with laboratory housekeeping, supply monitoring, and communication with cross-functional stakeholders
What We Are Looking For:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required, or a Bachelor's Degree; some CAP/CLIA lab locations may require a BS in chemistry, biology, or medical laboratory technology
  • 6 months relevant lab experience Req Or Equivalent combination of education, training and experience Req
  • Basic knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and applicable regulatory agency standards
  • Knowledge of laboratory safety and infection control procedures and practices including standard precautions and hazardous chemical handling
  • Other Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree
The Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Needed for This Role:
  • Ability to maintain effective reporting procedures and control workflow
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with internal stakeholders and communicate clearly, accurately, and in a timely manner
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of laboratory equipment, instrumentation, and terminology used in the area of responsibility

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $35,900.00 - $74,800.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
