Job description

JOB SUMMARY:
LION is an international company that operates in three markets: the emergency services, military and civilian agency uniforms, personal equipment markets, and workplace safety markets. LION serves a global customer base of fire departments, law enforcement, military installations, institutions, corporate organizations, and training companies from multiple offices around the world.
The Marketing Manager is responsible for the development and execution of the tactical marketing initiatives to drive revenue growth, generate qualified leads, expand market reach, and strengthen brand awareness. This role works closely with an external agency bringing marketing capabilities in-house to accelerate speed-to-market and improve operational efficiencies. This role supports LION Safety Solutions, focusing on our TotalCare and Training product lines.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Manage and administer strategies and tactics that effectively build LION's brand image and marketplace awareness while supporting targeted growth initiatives.
  • Implement and coordinate marketing efforts, including promotions, new product launches, communications, and product/marketing campaigns.
  • Create and manage marketing content including email campaigns, website content, product messaging, digital marketing channels, sales enablement materials, and promotional assets.
  • Ensure consistency of LION brand messaging, positioning and visual identity across all marketing and social channels.
  • Support planning and execution of trade shows and special events, including logistics, materials, and follow-up campaigns.
  • Support market research, customer insights, competitive analysis, and maintain relevant marketing data and intelligence.
  • Collaborate with sales, dealers, and product managers to develop toolkits and collateral that support the sales team and pipeline growth.
  • Manage Salesforce campaigns and lead generation opportunities in collaboration with marketing and sales teams.
  • Serve as the primary intake and prioritization point for marketing requests and deliverables.
  • Maintain market database and information as required by Marketing leadership.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) in marketing, business, or a related discipline
  • Experience in marketing, preferably industrial or a safety-related industry
  • Analytical mindset with ability to translate data into marketing plans
  • Experience with a CRM system, Salesforce preferred
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Credible presence with customers, suppliers and internal teams across all levels of the organizations
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize time

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Travel of up to 25%. Frequently travel is outside the employee's local area and overnight.
  • Highly flexible and able to react constructively and with a positive attitude to multiple demands, shifting priorities, change and unexpected events.
  • May be required at times to perform light lifting and carrying (30 lbs) and up to 8 hours a day on standing/walking/ driving.
