Remote salon marketing refers to promoting and advertising salon services and products through digital channels, without being physically present at the salon. This includes managing social media accounts, creating online advertising campaigns, sending email newsletters, and optimizing the salon's website for search engines. The goal is to attract new clients, retain existing ones, and build a strong online presence for the salon, all while working remotely. Remote salon marketers use various tools and strategies to reach potential clients and measure the effectiveness of their campaigns.

How does a remote salon marketing professional typically collaborate with on-site salon staff to implement marketing campaigns?

Remote salon marketing professionals frequently coordinate with on-site salon staff through video meetings, emails, and project management tools to ensure marketing campaigns are tailored to the salon's specific clientele and operational needs. Regular communication is essential to gather feedback, update staff on promotions, and track the effectiveness of campaigns. Successful collaboration often involves providing staff with digital assets, training on new promotions, and scheduling updates to align with in-salon events. Building strong relationships with the team helps ensure that marketing strategies are executed smoothly and that customer engagement remains high.

Job description

Keep Growing with Nutrafol
We're a growing company. Everything we do, we do to help people grow into the best version of themselves. As the pioneers of hair wellness, we create clinically tested products for hair growth and provide support for people at every step of their hair journey.
Our multi-factorial approach targets key root causes of hair thinning using a patented blend of standardized vitamins, minerals and natural ingredients -- and is recommended by over 7,500 physicians and hair professionals for trusted, reliable results. We never settle, and are continuously challenging existing treatments and methodologies to advance the frontier of hair science. As we help our customers grow, we grow too -- by embracing individuality and differences, leading by example, and empowering ourselves and others with our passion for wellness and innovation.
Keep growing. It's our mantra. Our commitment to helping anybody and everybody committed to realizing their own potential to grow.
About You
The Inside Sales Specialist (Salon) will be dedicated to growing the Salon channel. You will be responsible for aggressively driving new business acquisition and expanding Nutrafol's footprint within the salon and professional hair industry. This is a high-energy, high-volume "hunting" and closing role conducted entirely via phone, email, and digital outreach.
In this role, you will identify potential new salon partners, handle cold and warm outreach, articulate the value of the Nutrafol portfolio, and close the initial partnership. Your primary objective is driving new account openings. Once an account is signed and successfully onboarded, you will seamlessly transition them to our Account Management team for ongoing service and relationship growth. Your call points will include salon owners, independent stylists, and premium hair professionals.
*Please note, the posted range is the base salary ($70-75k), and there is additional monthly sales commission, and company bonus associated with this role.
Responsibilities:
  • Execute High-Volume Outreach: Actively prospect, cold call, and pitch potential new salon accounts and hair professionals to build a robust sales pipeline.
  • Drive Account Acquisition: Own the entire sales cycle from initial contact to close, consistently achieving and exceeding monthly new account opening quotas.
  • Pitch & Educate: Confidently present Nutrafol's product portfolio, clinical validity, and retail revenue benefits to salon owners and decision-makers virtually.
  • Seamless Handoff: Ensure a smooth, "White Glove" transition of newly closed accounts to the Account Management team for long-term growth and service.
  • Leverage Promotions: Use corporate marketing initiatives, promotions, and launch strategies as levers to build urgency and close new business.
  • Maintain CRM Accuracy: Routinely and effectively utilize Salesforce to track leads, log activities, manage pipeline stages, and report on sales metrics.
  • Collaborate Internally: Partner closely with the Salon Account Management and Marketing teams to ensure alignment on brand messaging and onboarding processes.
  • Uphold Brand Integrity: Demonstrate honesty, integrity, and professional passion, modeling behaviors consistent with Nutrafol's high standards.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent relevant sales experience
  • 2-4 years of proven success in an Inside Sales, B2B outbound sales, or business development role with a track record of exceeding quotas
  • Preferred experience within the beauty, salon, luxury retail, or wellness industry selling to professionals or business owners
  • Demonstrated "hunter" mentality with strong objection-handling, negotiation, and closing skills over the phone and video
  • Excellent communication and active listening skills, with the ability to build quick rapport virtually
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and comfortable navigating a fast-paced, high-activity digital sales environment
  • A solution-oriented problem solver and a collaborative, competitive team player

Nutrafol takes into consideration a wide range of factors in final compensation decisions, including but not limited to: skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs. The listed range is applicable only to the annual base salary and does not include additional perks, benefits, or applicable bonus eligibility comprising the total compensation package.
Salary Range:
$70,000-$75,000 USD
Perks & Benefits
  • Fully remote work experience
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision package, including FSA program
  • 401K with employer match
  • Quarterly Bonus Program
