We are looking for aManufacturing Technician III reporting to the Engineering Manager, to join our talented team in Warwick, RI.

Summary

Duties and Responsibilities

Works with Engineering to overcome technical textile obstacles and develop new products. Reviews customer specifications, helps with Strategy to meet needs. In-depth knowledge of textile equipment set up and troubleshooting. Able to work independently to perform work required. Review documents and fill out required forms neatly and legibly. Performs tasks related to assembly, inspections, measurements, and manufacturing of textiles as required. Understands and follows all rules related to GMP, documentation and clean room requirements. Takes direction from Project Lead and performs duties in a skilled and timely manner. Support training of other technicians and/or operators.

Minimum Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 5-10 years of direct textile experience setting up and running weaving and knitting looms.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
  • Familiarity with clean-room environments is preferred.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

  • Hands-on Technician able to set up equipment and troubleshoot machine issues related to weaving and knitting looms.
  • Analyzing woven and knit textile structures with an eye on process improvement and cost saving opportunities.
  • Experience working with fine fibers (<50 denier) preferred.
  • Able to contribute to technical solutions and communicate effectively with members of the team.
  • Offer textile and other training to peers and operators with best practices.
  • Work independently and with teams to achieve required objectives.
  • Perform visual and measurement inspections of knit and woven material.
  • Able to run other light manufacturing equipment in support of development projects.
  • Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
