Lakeside Manor is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Cook to join our team and help deliver an exceptional dining experience to our residents.  The ideal candidate is passionate about food, committed to cleanliness and food safety, and able to work collaboratively to support smooth kitchen operations.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, cook, and plate menu items according to established recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines.
  • Assist with daily kitchen prep, including chopping, seasoning, marinating, measuring, and organizing ingredients.
  • Monitor food quality, freshness, and consistency throughout service.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, equipment, and storage areas.
  • Follow food safety, sanitation, and hygiene procedures at all times.
  • Coordinate with team members to ensure timely meal preparation and smooth service.
  • Support menu execution and adapt to changing kitchen needs during peak periods.
Requirements:
  •  Previous experience in a kitchen, restaurant, catering, or food service environment preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of cooking techniques, kitchen equipment, and food preparation methods.
  • Understanding of safe food handling and sanitation standards, and ServSafe certification.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented, fast-paced setting.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to consistency.
  • Good communication and time management skills.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights as needed.
