An EXPEDITOR (expo) in food service plays a key role in keeping the kitchen and serving staff working smoothly together. They handle incoming orders from servers and help coordinate between the grill and enchilada line, making sure dishes are prepared correctly and on time. By keeping cooks and servers informed, the expeditor helps maintain a steady workflow and minimizes delays. This position supports both the front and back of the restaurant, encouraging teamwork and ensuring everything stays organized, even during busy hours.



Requirements:
  • Ensure food quality compliance: Verify that all dishes meet restaurant standards, before leaving the kitchen
  • Inspect presentation and accuracy: Confirm correct plating, portion sizes, and special requests.
  • Monitor temperature and freshness: Check that hot dishes are served hot and cold items remain properly chilled.
  • Communicate quality concerns: Quickly relay any issues to kitchen staff to maintain consistency.
