Responsibilities

The Food Safety & Quality (FSQ) Supervisor contributes to the success of PepsiCo by driving adherence to strict Quality & Food Safety protocols in order to produce the high-quality products that our Consumers demand. They are responsible for leading a team of FSQ Technicians and overseeing Quality & Food Safety operations on their sift. They partner with Production, Maintenance and Warehouse teams across the facility by communicating quality procedures to deliver sustainable practices and World Class quality processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical and process knowledge for water treatment systems, concentrate/syrup batching, ingredient receiving/storage, and Quality standard lab systems
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of manufacturing equipment and processes and their related impact on overall Quality & Food Safety
  • Oversee team execution of key Food Safety programs such as GMP compliance, sanitation, monitoring, documentation, and recordkeeping
  • Ensure team compliance to Food Safety Management Systems – to include Food Safety, Food Defense, and Corrective/Preventive Action Plan programs
  • Oversee standard lab and processing equipment calibration management programs and executional compliance of analytical procedures
  • Deliver flawless execution of Non-Conforming Product programs – to include integration and optimization of hold management systems, hold reconciliation controls/compliance processes, and personnel training
  • Leverage data analytics tools to monitor real-time Quality & Food Safety data, identify trends, and establish robust corrective/preventive action plants to improve Quality, Food Safety and Consumer performance metrics
  • Coordinate Quality & Food Safety training for cross-functional teams
  • Partner with FSQ Manager, Leader, and Coach peer team to oversee audits and audit outputs, including:  GFSI, AIB GMP, Regulatory Readiness and QAS
  • Demonstrate effective change leadership while driving business changes and minimizing people impact

Compensation and Benefits:

  • The expected compensation range for this position is between $66,900 - $111,950.
  • Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process.
  • Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 8% of annual salary paid out annually.
  • Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.

Qualifications
  • Hiring for 3rd Shift (10pm-6am) 
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.  Preferably in Food/Beverage
  • Manufacturing, Engineering, Chemistry, Microbiology, or related Field
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Food/Beverage Industry or related Field strongly preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years’ direct people leadership (supervisory) experience preferred
  • Previous Quality Control experience in high-speed manufacturing environment preferred
  • Quality Principles:  Knowledge and application of quality principles to detect and correct non-conforming conditions using quality problem solving tools
  • Ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks efficiently and effectively

Leadership/People Skills:

  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to drive change
  • Must possess excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to give and receive constructive feedback
  • Effective coaching, facilitation, presentation, and team-building skills
  • Ability to lead a team-based approach to decision making
