• Direct comprehensive physical therapy treatments aimed at preventing disabilities, alleviating pain, and restoring muscle function, thereby enhancing each client's capabilities.
• Oversee and mentor Physical Therapy Assistants in executing care plans effectively, ensuring adherence to therapeutic protocols.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of clients using diagnostic and prognostic tests focused on their muscle, nerve, joint, and functional abilities.
• Assess home environments for rehabilitation, providing recommendations to promote client independence.
• Administer therapeutic exercises, employing both manual and non-manual techniques, while motivating clients to engage in their rehabilitation journey.
• Utilize various therapy techniques including traction, massage, and therapeutic agents as per treatment plans.
• Evaluate, fit, and make recommendations regarding prosthetic and orthotic devices in collaboration with physicians.
• Participate in individual care plan development, revisits, and updates, ensuring comprehensive monitoring of patients’ progress.
• Document clinical records meticulously including evaluations, care plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries adhering to regulatory standards.
• Engage actively in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss client treatment plans and progress, contributing valuable insights based on assessments.
• Instruct clients and their families on the effective use and care of physical therapy devices, enhancing their understanding of the therapeutic process.

The Physical Therapist will provide care primarily to adult clients recovering from surgical interventions, accidents, or chronic conditions that affect mobility and physical function. These individuals rely on tailored rehabilitative strategies to regain independence in performing daily activities. Your expertise and compassionate care will play a crucial role in their recovery process and overall quality of life.

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) required.
• Valid DPT license in the State of Virginia.
• Current CPR certification.
• A valid driver’s license and insurance for travel when necessary.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and a commitment to patient-centered care.
• Strong organization and communication abilities.

• At least two years of experience in a physical therapy role, particularly in acute care or home healthcare settings.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment.
• Experience in using electronic health records and understanding relevant regulatory requirements.

The annual salary for this role ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000, reflecting the importance of the position and the qualifications of the potential candidate.
