Kaiser Aluminum Kalamazoo is looking for Production Technicians to join our team. This is a full-time opportunity with alternating 3- and 4-day work weeks. Shift hours are 6:00 to 6:00. You will earn an additional $2 per hourfor work hours performed on theD night shift(6p-6a Thurs, Fri, Sat and every other Wed) and $1 per hourforC night shift(6p-6a Sun, Mon, Tues and every other Wed). Flexibility in shifts is required - the assigned training shift may or may not be your eventual assigned post-training shift.Shifts are selected by union seniority.

What you will be working on with Team Kaiser Aluminum - Kalamazoo

  • The Production Technician is responsible for operating automated equipment associated with the processes of extrusion or casting aluminum. The Production Technician must embrace these responsibilities while following safe practices, standard operating procedures, and quality requirements for our customers. You will Interact daily with other team members, and representatives of other departments.

What you will bring to the role:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Six (6) months relative work experience (ex. agriculture, light manufacturing, product assembly, restaurant industry, or relevant experience)
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills
  • Aptitude and drive to learn professional skills to help advance your career
  • Ability to work well with others in a team environment and on problem solving activities
  • Previous experience operating a forklift and other mobile equipment(preferred)
