Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Kaiser Physical Therapy, you will:

  • Direct and oversee the physical therapy treatment plan, focusing on pain relief, muscle function improvement, and disability prevention.
  • Evaluate clients using diagnostic tests that assess their muscle, nerve, joint, and functional abilities.
  • Design and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to client needs, which may include manual therapies, exercise regimens, and functional training.
  • Create a comprehensive evaluation of clients’ home environments to recommend appropriate modifications and support their independence.
  • Coordinate treatment efforts with Physical Therapy Assistants, providing supervision and guidance to ensure effective care delivery.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate clinical documentation, including evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to collaborate on total treatment strategies for clients.
  • Engage actively with clients and their families, providing education on therapeutic devices and exercise plans.
  • Monitor and report on clients’ progress, adapting treatment plans as necessary in consultation with physicians and care managers.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations in all therapeutic practices and documentation.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will work with a diverse population requiring rehabilitation following surgeries, injuries, or chronic conditions. Our outpatient clients include individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, neurological conditions, and sports-related injuries. You will focus on empowering them to achieve optimal function and independence in their daily activities.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, applicants must possess:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy, with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred.
  • A valid and active state license to practice physical therapy in Florida.
  • Current certification in CPR.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills for effective patient and family engagement.
Preferred Experience

In addition to the above qualifications, candidates are encouraged to have:

  • At least two years of professional experience in an outpatient or relevant clinical setting.
  • A background in team-based care and interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems for documentation and billing processes.
  • A passion for continuous learning and professional development within the field of physical therapy.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, complemented by comprehensive benefits that include health, dental, and vision insurance, wellness programs, and retirement savings plans.
