Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Kaiser Physical Therapy, your responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and implementing comprehensive treatment plans tailored to the individual needs of patients, aimed at improving mobility, reducing pain, and enhancing overall physical function.
  • Conducting thorough evaluations using diagnostic tests to assess the functional capabilities of clients and developing strategies to mitigate disabilities.
  • Overseeing the work of Physical Therapy Assistants, ensuring that treatment plans are executed effectively and adjusting care as needed to meet patient goals.
  • Fostering patient education by instructing clients and their families on therapeutic exercises, the use of adaptive devices, and self-care techniques to promote independence.
  • Maintaining accurate clinical documentation, including evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries, to comply with regulatory standards and support patient care continuity.
  • Engaging in regular case conferences with an interdisciplinary team to contribute to holistic treatment plans and share insights on patient progress.
  • Actively participating in ongoing professional development activities to ensure the application of current best practices in physical therapy.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will be working with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from surgery, those with chronic conditions, and clients in need of rehabilitation after injuries. Your interventions will play an essential role in enhancing their quality of life and enabling them to achieve their rehabilitation goals. Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy is required.
  • Current and valid Physical Therapy licensure in the State of Florida.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in an acute care or home healthcare setting.
  • Valid CPR certification and a current driver's license with automobile insurance.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with patients, families, and team members.
Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, the following experiences are preferred:

  • Experience in community-based rehabilitation and the ability to assess home environments for adaptive needs.
  • Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and patient management.
