Job description

The Junior Technical Sales Representative is responsible for assisting in the growth of a designated territory by establishing and nurturing business relationships with prospective and existing clients. This role will collaborate with various departments within the organization to address customer needs and contribute to achieving sales targets.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Conduct regular sales calls to prospective and existing customers under the guidance of senior sales personnel.
  • Employ a consultative approach to understand customer requirements and recommend suitable products or services, including upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
  • Support in building and maintaining long-term relationships with clients and suppliers.
  • Assist in addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues promptly and professionally.
  • Contribute to achieving sales and gross margin targets set by the sales team.
  • Participate in introducing and demonstrating new products to clients.
  • Report market trends, customer feedback, and competitive insights to senior management.
  • Collaborate with suppliers on joint sales calls to secure mutual business opportunities.
  • Represent the company ethically and professionally in all sales activities.
  • Attend sales meetings, product presentations, and other relevant company events.
  • Assist in developing strategies to increase sales and profitability within the assigned territory.
  • Prepare quotes, proposals, and sales presentations, and assist in negotiating terms with clients.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
  • Previous experience in sales preferred but not required.
  • Exposure to industrial/MRO sectors is advantageous.
  • Professional demeanor with integrity, discipline, and a positive attitude.
  • Familiarity with Automated Procurement Systems (APS) is a plus.
  • Flexibility to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment; high energy, self-motivated, self-directed, and able to focus on multiple projects and activities simultaneously.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel frequently within the assigned territory.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Experienced in utilizing MS Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM solutions
  • Passionate, Adaptable, Customer Focused and Teamwork oriented
  • Strong sense of urgency and accountability
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required; 2- or 4-year college degree preferred
