Job description


  • Support end-user needs by identifying, investigating and resolving system issues related to space systems

  • Collaborate with analysts, project leads, and customers to enhance operational efficiency and system reliability

  • Assist in developing system requirements and specifications aligned with High-Level Mission objectives

  • Participate in trade studies to identify improvements in system performance, architecture, and software/hardware solutions

  • Contribute to engineering tradeoff analyses and assist in formulating Courses of Action (COAs) considering operational constraints

  • Gather information to create technical documents supporting project deliverables

  • Stay updated on agency, national, and international standards related to space systems development

  • Provide support throughout the systems engineering life cycle, managing risks and developing mitigation plans

  • Track project activities for systems engineering, software/hardware development, and deployment

  • Engage in continuous improvement efforts to optimize ground processing and mission management practices

  • Collaborate with stakeholders in the design, development, and research of interfaces and subsystem integration

  • Perform functional analysis to validate mission requirements and constraints, assess system performance, and provide feedback

  • Advise the customer by providing results to inform mission-critical decisions

  • Bachelors of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline
