Position Summary

The IT Help Desk / Junior Systems Administrator provides frontline technical support and assists with junior-level system administration and business analysis tasks for Diamond Game end users. Responsibilities include setting up, configuring, deploying, and supporting Windows-based laptops and desktop systems, as well as installing, configuring, and troubleshooting desktop applications, particularly the Microsoft Office suite. The role also supports mobile device provisioning, configuration, and management as part of daily IT support operations. In addition to help desk responsibilities, the position offers opportunities to develop system administration and business analysis skills, with training and mentorship provided to support growth into assigned duties as a System Administrator and Business Analyst.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide Tier 1 support for desktops, laptops, and software applications.
  • Work closely with System Administrators and other IT/TS Team staff in the timely resolution of end-user application and hardware issues.
  • Document support activities in the Autotask help desk tracking system. Prepare Biweekly Status reporting.
  • Provide maintenance of mobile phones and broadband devices, and plans to include, but not limited to, inventory management, vendor communications, and billing reconciliation.
  • May require on-call support or work outside of normal business hours.
  • Assist with projects and miscellaneous tasks as assigned by management.
  • Junior System Administrator and Junior Business Analyst assigned tasks.
  • Willingness and ability to complete technical training to implement/maintain legacy and new state-of-the-art IT solutions.
  • Consistently demonstrate the ability to practice Diamond Game's core values and apply them.
  • Perform other tasks and duties as needed and/or requested by management.

Education & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent (A+, Networking, and Microsoft MCP certification) required.
  • At least 1+ years' experience in a help desk support role or a new college graduate with an IT-related degree
  • Office 365 experience, Exchange 2016, and Active Directory experience required.
  • Working knowledge of the TCP/IP protocol suite, Firewalls, and the OSI model.
  • Working knowledge of data transmission protocols and endpoints (FTP, SFTP, TLS, SSL, SSH).
  • Strong familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems (both workstations & servers).
  • Solid knowledge of imaging/troubleshooting Dell/HP laptops a plus.
  • Junior System Administrator experience (including VMware, Hyper-V) preferred.
  • Business Analyst experience (including SharePoint, Navision ERP) preferred.
  • Ability to write and debug scripting languages (i.e. Bash, PowerShell, Python) preferred.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong documentation skills using tools (i.e., Visio, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and remote/virtual troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage an unpredictable workload and meet established deadlines.
  • Proficient in imaging and deploying user devices (laptops, desktops, cellphones, etc.).
