Job Summary:
Rosendin is a leading employee-owned electrical contractor that has been positively impacting communities for over a century. The Junior System Administrator will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, security, and reliable operation of enterprise-level servers and systems, ensuring optimal performance and security compliance.
Responsibilities:
• Implementation, configuration, coordination, control, maintenance, troubleshooting, security, usage monitoring and the development of specialized system procedures.
• Performs basic systems administration functions, including managing profiles and accounts, monitors and manages system resources, including CPU, memory and disk usage; performs systems backups and recovery procedures.
• Writes or modifies basic scripts to resolve specific issues or problems; maintains system documentation and logs.
• Performs or assists in troubleshooting and diagnosing production system problems.
• Maintain network and server security, including application security, anti-virus, and user account management.
• Participate in monitoring, primary response and intervention for information technology-related security incidents and violations.
• Keep current with new systems; security; network technologies, and applicable laws and regulations.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Windows Systems Administration and Microsoft Active Directory Management.
• Must have excellent customer relations skills, superior written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Must thrive in a team environment and have the ability to coach and mentor Desktop Technicians.
• Linux fundamentals and willingness to learn Red Hat.
• Responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, security, and reliable operation of Enterprise level servers, appliances, storage systems, and peripherals.
• Implementation, configuration, coordination, control, maintenance, troubleshooting, security, usage monitoring and the development of specialized system procedures.
• Performs basic systems administration functions, including managing profiles and accounts, monitors and manages system resources, including CPU, memory and disk usage; performs systems backups and recovery procedures.
• Writes or modifies basic scripts to resolve specific issues or problems; maintains system documentation and logs.
• Performs or assists in troubleshooting and diagnosing production system problems.
