As a Jr. Systems Administrator at INflow Federal, you will support one of the Intelligence Community's most critical enterprise environments by maintaining secure Windows and UNIX systems that enable mission success. Working alongside experienced engineers and administrators, you'll help ensure the reliability, security, and performance of enterprise infrastructure supporting classified operations.
This role is ideal for an early-career systems administrator looking to expand their technical expertise while working in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. You'll gain hands-on experience supporting enterprise servers, storage platforms, desktop systems, and network infrastructure while developing valuable skills in cybersecurity, systems engineering, and enterprise operations.
You'll support enterprise IT infrastructure operating within secure classified environments. Daily responsibilities include maintaining Windows and UNIX systems, troubleshooting complex infrastructure issues, supporting enterprise storage and networking technologies, implementing security hardening, coordinating maintenance activities, and ensuring system availability for mission-critical operations.
You'll collaborate with senior engineers, cybersecurity professionals, and customer stakeholders while supporting technologies spanning operating systems, virtualization, storage, networking, backup solutions, and enterprise monitoring platforms.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Administer desktop and server systems connected to local and wide area networks.
  • Perform account management, operating system installation, system configuration, and local systems administration activities.
  • Support the implementation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and optimization of enterprise IT systems and supporting infrastructure.
  • Monitor and maintain client, server, storage, and network environments to ensure operational availability.
  • Provide Tier II and Tier III troubleshooting, diagnosis, and resolution of hardware, software, operating system, and infrastructure issues.
  • Escalate and communicate system status, outages, and resolutions to customer leadership and internal stakeholders.
  • Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, application software, and enterprise services.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, operating system, network, and communications infrastructure issues.
  • Configure and maintain network components while implementing operating system enhancements that improve reliability and performance.
  • Install software updates, operating system upgrades, security patches, and COTS/GOTS applications in accordance with established policies and service level agreements.
  • Maintain multiple linked databases, ensuring security, integrity, disaster recovery, and data import/export processes.
  • Perform scheduled and emergency maintenance on enterprise data center equipment.
  • Coordinate planned maintenance windows with affected customers and stakeholders.
  • Support backup and disaster recovery planning, testing, and implementation.
  • Maintain system compliance with DISA STIG requirements utilizing tools such as Retina and HBSS.
  • Develop, maintain, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and technical documentation.
  • Verify system health and availability using enterprise monitoring and management tools.
  • Participate in after-hours on-call support as required.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance with the ability to obtain a CI Polygraph.
  • CompTIA Security+ CE or DoD 8570 Level II certification within 90 days of hire.
  • Experience administering Windows, UNIX, and/or enterprise storage environments.
  • Experience supporting enterprise IT infrastructure and troubleshooting complex technical issues.
  • Experience working with ticketing and trouble reporting systems.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a technical team.
  • Ability to participate in an on-call rotation.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% to local customer sites.
