Job description

Location: This position can be based at any Circle K office location within the Eastern or Central time zones.

The Retail Media Key Partnership Manager manages and grows a portfolio of strategic advertiser and agency partnerships within the convenience and fuel retail media ecosystem. This role is responsible for driving revenue through the execution of high-impact, full-funnel media programs across onsite, offsite, and in-store channels, while ensuring strong client relationships and ongoing performance optimization.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Retail Media Sales, the Key Partnership Manager plays a critical leadership role by mentoring junior sellers or account managers, serving as a trusted partner to advertisers, and translating retail media strategy into executable programs aligned with shopper behavior, trip missions, and daypart dynamics.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

The position includes, but is not limited to, the following essential job duties, responsibilities and requirements:

Key Partnership & Revenue Management

  • Own and manage a portfolio of priority CPG brand and agency partnerships, with accountability for meeting and exceeding assigned revenue targets.

  • Lead the full sales lifecycle for assigned accounts, including opportunity identification, media plan development, pricing recommendations, negotiation support, and renewal growth.

  • Serve as a strategic advisor to advertisers, aligning media solutions to brand objectives, shopper behavior, and retail priorities.

  • Identify upsell opportunities across onsite, offsite, and in-store media channels to drive incremental revenue.

Campaign Strategy, Execution & Optimization

  • Translate advertiser objectives into actionable, full-funnel retail media programs in collaboration with planning , ad operations and creative delivery

  • Oversee campaign execution working with planning team to ensure seamless launch and ensure accuracy, pacing, and performance against KPIs.

  • Collaborate with planning team to maximize results and provide optimization recommendations to improve performance and maximize return on ad spend.

  • Deliver clear, data-driven insights and reporting that show campaign impact and advertiser value.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with Sales, Marketing, Analytics, Merchandising, and Operations to ensure retail media programs align to enterprise goals

  • Contribute advertiser feedback to inform product enhancements, sponsorship development, and media innovation.

  • Support the Senior Manager in internal and external business reviews with account-level insights and performance summaries.

Team Leadership & Professional Development

  • Provide day-to-day guidance, mentoring, and support to junior team members, partnership managers, or sales specialists.

  • Model strong client management, solution selling, and executive communication skills.

  • Support onboarding, training, and best-practice development within the retail media sales organization.

  • Serve as a subject-matter expert in retail media execution and advertiser partnership management.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business or related field.

  • 5-8+ years of experience in retail media, digital advertising, media sales, or shopper marketing.

  • Demonstrated success managing complex advertiser or agency relationships and delivering revenue growth.

  • Experience executing multi-channel media programs with measurable performance outcomes.

  • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-management skills.

  • Prior experience mentoring or leading junior teammates preferred.
