Job Overview:

The Technical Software Specialist serves as a bridge between business users and IT teams, ensuring clear communication, seamless collaboration, and effective tracking of testing activities in the UAT environment. This role focuses on improving batch reporting and processing, implementing updated interfaces, and supporting software quality assurance efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Testing and Validation:
    • Perform manual and automated software testing, execute test cases, identify bugs, and log defects with clear details.
    • Conduct output comparisons to detect discrepancies between software versions or expected results.
  • Organization and Planning:
    • Organize testing schedules and track project activities.
    • Maintain well-documented testing artifacts including test plans and test results.
  • Deployment Support:
    • Assist with pre- and post-deployment checks.
    • Collaborate with development and operations teams for smooth software transitions.
  • Communication:
    • Report testing status, issues, and results to team members and stakeholders.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 10+ years leading, planning, and delivering complex software modernization projects.
  • 10+ years capturing system requirements and guiding UAT preparation.
  • 10+ years managing system enhancements and module integrations to expand functionality.
  • 10+ years experience with workforce or enterprise service systems in a government or large-scale environment.
