Job Summary:
Visionist, Inc. is an employee-owned company focused on solving the Intelligence Community's software and analysis challenges. They are seeking a Junior Backend Software Developer to develop and maintain Java-based microservice web applications, collaborate on architectural decisions, and troubleshoot software engineering challenges.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Develop and maintain Java-based microservice web applications
โ€ข Collaborate closely with technical leads on architectural decisions and product roadmap planning
โ€ข Troubleshoot and resolve complex software engineering and design challenges
โ€ข Work directly with customers to resolve issues and identify new feature opportunities
โ€ข Support testing and deployment of production applications
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข Active Top Secret (TS/SCI) clearance with polygraph is required.
โ€ข Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline. (Additional 4 years of experience may substitute degree)
โ€ข 3 years of experience in software development
โ€ข Experience designing, debugging, and troubleshooting Java applications
โ€ข Experience developing RESTful web applications and services
โ€ข Experience with Spring Boot
โ€ข Experience working with MongoDB or similar database technologies
โ€ข Familiarity with automated testing frameworks and practices
โ€ข U.S citizenship required (green card holders and permanent residents are not eligible). Applicants selected will be required to obtain / maintain a government security clearance.
