Jr. Radar Software Engineer/Developer Location: Huntsville, AL Description: Seeking a Jr. Software Engineer to join the STARS team located in Huntsville, AL. The Sensors Test Analysis Requirements & Simulation (STARS) Project provides the Missile Defense Agency Sensors Directorate independent engineering, operations and acquisition support across the entire sensor life cycle. The candidate would be expected to interact productively with radar engineers, test engineers, and other software engineers on the team. Responsibilities and Requirements: • Responsible for code development of software for radar systems • Assists in designing, developing, documenting, testing, and debugging application software • Ensures software standards are met • Participate in software team meetings, hardware and software design reviews; technical interchange meetings, and other management meetings as needed • Potential travel up to 10% Required Skills: • Self-driven, customer focused software engineer • Programming skills in modern languages utilized for modeling and UI (C++, Java, Python). • Must be a U.S. Citizen • Must have an Active Secret clearance or the ability to obtain an Interim Secret clearance Desired Skills: • First-hand development experience with one or more sensor systems • Linux development experience • Ada experience a plus • Radar experience a plus • Git, GNU Make, Intel MKL, GPU development, Agile, Jira, Confluence, Python experience a plus Education and Experience: • Bachelor's degree in a technical field and zero-three (0-3) years of more experience About HigherEchelon, Inc.
