Hardware/Software Assurance Engineer
Contingent upon prime contractor approval
Purpose:
  • Valkyrie Enterprises has need for an Hardware/Software Assurance Engineer in Huntsville, AL
  • In this role you will get to use your expertise in mission/software assurance, system architecture, and interface design. The selected candidate will ensure the reliability, security, and quality of hardware/software systems, contribute to architectural decisions, and design robust interfaces for seamless integration across the Missile Defense System (MDS) Elements
Job Description:
  • Participate in hardware/software engineering activities to include mission/software assurance, code reviews, static analysis, testing, and engineering reviews to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
  • Advise MDS Element programs on software architectures that are scalable, secure, and maintainable.
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to software quality, security, and performance.
  • Ensure hardware/software engineering/assurance processes are acceptable and reports are assessed.
  • Deliver technical guidance for evaluating objective evidence during hardware/software engineering reviews.
Qualifications:
  • Must have a Master's degree in relevant STEM field and at least 12 years of related professional experience.
  • Must have extensive experience in hardware/software engineering processes.
  • Must have extensive experience in hardware/software assurance processes.
  • Must have experience evaluating objective evidence for hardware/software engineering design reviews.
  • Must have professional communications and organization skills.
Desired Qualifications:
  • MDA experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of Agile Engineering Design preferred.
  • Knowledge of Digital Engineering Principals preferred.
  • Knowledge of the Missile Defense System elements, products, and capabilities preferred.
Security Requirements:
  • Active Secret clearance
Travel Requirements:
  • Minimal Travel; 10% or less
  • If position requires travel by domestic flight or access to secure federal facilities/military bases, candidate must be able to obtain (by start of position) and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL ID. Physical Requirements:
  • Remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods
  • Able to sit and work on a computer for long periods of time

  • Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds
