The ideal candidate will build robust data pipelines, ensure data integrity and compliance, manage database infrastructure, and deliver actionable insights through Power BI visualizations. Roles and Responsibilities • Design, construct, test, and maintain scalable data pipelines and architectures. • Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) data from various sources into centralized data warehouses or data lakes. • Automate manual data processes and optimize data delivery infrastructure. • Establish and enforce data governance policies, data quality standards, and compliance protocols. • Act as the primary point of contact for data-related inquiries, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and security across the organization. • Maintain data catalogs and metadata repositories. • Develop, publish, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports. • Translate complex business requirements into intuitive data visualizations. Utilize advanced DAX and Power Query to model data effectively for end-user consumption. • Architect, query, and manage relational and non-relational databases. Monitor database performance, execute routine maintenance, and troubleshoot data infrastructure issues. • Write complex, highly optimized SQL queries to support both engineering pipelines and reporting tools. Basic Qualifications • Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience in data engineering, database administration, business intelligence, or data governance • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution • Ability to obtain and/or maintain a DoD secret clearance Preferred Qualifications • Proficiency in Python, Scala, or similar programming languages used in data engineering. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Power BI (including DAX and Power Query). • Strong command of SQL and hands-on experience with database systems such as MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle, Snowflake, or BigQuery. • Experience implementing data quality rules, Master Data Management (MDM), and data cataloging tools. • Understanding of data privacy regulations. • Excellent analytical problem-solving capabilities. • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
