POSITION SUMMARY The Quality Trainee will assure consistent quality of production by enforcing quality and manufacturing standards. This is an overnight shift with hours from 5:30pm to 6:00am. Some weekend work required. RESPONSIBILITIES Ensure all products are produced per Milo's quality standards.Obtain samples for bacteria plating and daily quality checks as needed.Monitor compliance with and administer GMP or SQF requirements.Ensure Food Safety and Food Quality compliance as directed.Maintain all laboratory and testing equipment and perform calibrations per schedule.Assist with the receipt of raw ingredients and sample, test and/or review.Monitor FIFO and communicate concerns to the QA Manager.Perform testing and document weights, volumes, colors, brix, codes, packaging integrity, and other routine testing as required.Perform environmental testing of air, water, and bacteria according to schedules.Perform additional duties as directed by the QA Manager.Must be able to work overtime and weekends as required.Collect and prepare samples for shipment as needed.Uphold and participate in all Corporate Responsibility programming including recycling, social advocacy and MMAD volunteering opportunities.Invest in and is an example of Milo's Responsibility commitment which includes environmental, social, and corporate governance components. QUALIFICATIONS Applicants must have an Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school minimum. Bachelor's degree in Biology, Food Science, Chemistry is preferred; or three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet software including Microsoft Office Suite.
