No Experience Developer information

What is a no experience developer?

A No Experience Developer is someone who is seeking to start a career in software development but has little to no professional experience in the field. These individuals often have learned programming through self-study, bootcamps, or academic courses, but have not yet held a formal developer role. Employers may hire No Experience Developers for entry-level or junior positions where they can learn on the job and gradually build their skills. This role typically involves tasks such as assisting with coding, debugging, and collaborating with more experienced developers. It is a great starting point for those looking to enter the tech industry.

What skills and qualifications are needed to thrive as a no experience developer?

To thrive as a No Experience Developer, you need foundational programming skills, basic understanding of software development principles, and a willingness to learn, often supported by self-study, coding bootcamps, or online courses. Familiarity with version control systems like Git, basic IDEs, and introductory programming languages such as Python or JavaScript is typically required. Strong problem-solving abilities, eagerness to learn, and teamwork make candidates stand out in this entry-level role. These skills and qualities are crucial for quickly adapting to new challenges, collaborating with teams, and building a successful career in software development.

What types of projects or tasks can a no experience developer expect to work on during their first few months?

As a No Experience Developer, you’ll typically start with smaller, well-defined tasks such as fixing simple bugs, updating documentation, or assisting with basic testing. These initial assignments are designed to help you become familiar with the codebase, development tools, and company workflows. Over time, you may progress to working on minor feature enhancements or collaborating on team projects under the guidance of more experienced developers. This gradual approach helps you build confidence and technical skills while contributing meaningfully to the team.

Job description

Glass House Technologies is hiring General Laborers for our field crews nationwide. This is the door into a real technology career. Zero experience required. You start on the crew, we teach you the trade, and you get paid the whole way. Here's what the work looks like. You'll travel the country with our crews to data centers, national retail rollouts, and commercial sites. You'll pull cable, stage material, run lifts, mount hardware, and keep the site moving. It's physical, it's fast, and it's on the road most of the year. You'll see more of the country in your first year than most people see in their lives. The laborers who show up and work hard don't stay laborers. You'll be learning copper, fiber, cameras, and access control from day one. When you're ready, you move to Data Technician, then lead, then superintendent, then project management and engineering. Everybody at the top of this company started at the bottom of it. That's the path, and it's open to anyone who earns it.Now the honest part. This is hard. You live out of a suitcase. The days are long and the work is real. Some people aren't built for it, and that's just the truth. But if you're actually trying to change your life, not talk about it, change it, then you want to be surrounded by people who push you and don't buy your excuses. That's exactly what you'll get here. We hire fast, and we fire faster. The people who stay are the ones who show up and do the work. What you get for it:Pay starts at $20-25/hr with dollar raises every six months for anyone performing, and up to $40/hr as you certify and take ownership.BICSI, OSHA, and manufacturer certifications, paid while you're on the clock. Not out of your pocket, on ours.Constant travel across the country on real projects for real clients.A real path with a ceiling worth chasing: laborer to technician to lead to superintendent to project management and engineering. What we need from you:Zero experience required. We'll teach you everything.Willing to travel constantly. This is not a local job.Able to do physical work all day and show up ready the next day.A criminal record does not disqualify you. We care about who you are now and how hard you work. People with a record are encouraged to apply. We're a Huntsville, Alabama based licensed low-voltage contractor. We've doubled in size year over year for five years straight, and we're not slowing down. The people who join now are the ones who'll be at the top once we settle in over the next five years.Apply at https://ght.network/careers---

Company Description

Glass House Technologies is a nationwide low-voltage contractor based in Huntsville, Alabama. We install and certify structured cabling, fiber, security cameras, access control, and wireless with our own crews.

Most contractors treat technicians as a cost to squeeze. We think the opposite. The person on the ladder is the product. Field crews contract directly with Glass House, not a marketplace or broker. Pay for field roles starts at $20-25/hr, written in the listing, not discovered in the interview. We pay for BICSI, OSHA, and manufacturer certifications on the clock. The path is technician to lead to superintendent to PM or engineering, and those seats are designed to be filled from the field.
