Job description

Overview

Bowhead seeks a Junior Software Developer to support our customer on the WSOTS II contract in Colorado Springs, CO.

The Software Developer shall provide direct support to the Consolidated SATCOM Systems Expert (C-SSE). This support includes, but not limited to, user-facing and back-end software development tools such as Hypertext Preprocessor (PHP), Java and SQL programming languages in addition to Microsoft development tools such as Visual Studio, Visual Basic (VB) and Visual Basic for Applications (VBA). Location of the support will be at Building 3 on Peterson SFB, CO.

Responsibilities

Assist the Wideband C-SSE in the creation, development, and maintenance of tools, websites, and other software to be hosted on Wideband SATCOM Operations Management System Network (WSOMSNet) servers. Coordinate development and deployment approvals with the C-SSE Configuration Change Board (CCB) and maintains CM control of all developed tools. Work with Government clients to identify opportunities for efficiencies in work process and innovative approaches to completing scope of work. Participate in team problem solving efforts and offer ideas to solve client issues. Conduct relevant research, data analysis, and create reports. Coordination of client-initiated projects or initiatives. Develop and tune cyber tools and technology.

Qualifications

Bachelor Degree in Computer Science and a minimum of two (2) to four (4) years of relevant experience.

Requires strong knowledge of scripting tools, such as vbscript, Java, and Linux vi. Experience developing server-side and/or client-side applications, typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience. Experience in wideband SATCOM systems and concepts is preferred.

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Top Secret level with the ability to obtain TS/SCI.
