Job description

Position Summary

Junior Software Developers support the design, development, and delivery of front-end and back-end application components in support of the customer's requirements, working as members of an Agile development team under the guidance of more experienced developers. Junior Software Developers implement user stories, write and unit test code, and support integration of application features with existing systems. Junior Software Developers are expected to build foundational full-stack development skills while contributing reliable, well-tested code to a larger complex application.

US Citizenships and TS/SCI with Polygraph (no exceptions)

Education/Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field and 0-2 years of relevant professional software development experience; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
Required Skills
  • Working knowledge of one or more modern programming languages (e.g., Java, JavaScript, Python)
  • Exposure to front-end and/or back-end web application development
  • Familiarity with RESTful API concepts
  • Exposure to Agile/Scrum development teams and ceremonies, through coursework, internships, or professional experience
  • Familiarity with version control tools
  • Comfort developing on Windows and/or Linux operating systems
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across a development team
