Job description

We are looking to hire a Salesforce Team Lead with strong communication and problem‑solving skills and a positive, can‑do attitude.

Candidates must reside in or relocate to one of the following states in order to be considered for employment: Indiana, Michigan, Texas, Colorado, or New York.

DB Services cannot provide employment-based sponsorship.

Do you love building on the Salesforce platform and have a track record of delivering solutions that actually stick? Do you get energy from helping other developers level up, and can you hold a team accountable without micromanaging them? Are you the kind of person who can talk architecture with a developer in the morning and walk a client through a business case in the afternoon?

If so, we want to talk. DB Services is looking for a Salesforce Team Lead who can develop and lead, not just one or the other. You will own the technical direction of our Salesforce practice, mentor a team of consultants and developers, and stay close enough to the code that your technical credibility never comes into question.

  • Lead, manage, and hold the Salesforce development team accountable to quality, timelines, and budget
  • Consult clients to desired outcomes, identifying value, write and present proposals
  • Partner with Project Managers to oversee team deliverables across a portfolio of active client engagements
  • Design, develop, test, and deploy Apex, LWC, Aura, and Visualforce solutions on the Salesforce platform
  • Architect scalable Salesforce solutions for prospective and existing clients, balancing pro code and low code approaches
  • Own and enforce development best practices, minimize technical debt, maximize reuse
  • Mentor and train junior and mid-level Salesforce developers; reinforce coding standards through code review
  • Lead innovation on the team: adopt new platform capabilities, evaluate emerging tools, set direction
  • Demo completed work during iteration meetings with customers; communicate value clearly to non-technical stakeholders
  • Develop using SFDX in Visual Studio Code; maintain unit tests in Apex, LWC, and Aura
  • Oversee and contribute to sales initiatives with existing clients, consulting toward value-added outcomes
  • Maintain accurate time tracking and enforce it across the team to keep projects on budget
  • Acquire and maintain Salesforce certifications; stay current on platform updates and ecosystem trends
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of hands‑on Salesforce development experience
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, manage, and develop a technical team
  • Expert‑level proficiency in Apex, LWC, SOQL, and the Salesforce data model
  • Experience with SFDX, Git‑based deployment workflows, and CI/CD in the Salesforce ecosystem
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce security model, governor limits, and platform architecture
  • Excellent communication skills, you can explain complex technical decisions to both clients and internal stakeholders
  • Proven ability to manage multiple client accounts and competing deadlines without losing quality
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to take complex business problems and translate them into executable solutions
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or a related STEM field
  • Must reside in or plan to relocate to Indiana, Michigan, New York, Texas, or Colorado prior to start
Bonus Points
  • Active Salesforce certifications (Platform Developer I/II, Application Architect, or higher)
  • Experience with Salesforce CPQ, Experience Cloud, or Marketing Cloud
  • UX/UI design experience, including mockup tools such as Sketch with the Lightning Design System Plugin
  • Familiarity with EOS methodology
  • Experience with nonprofit or education Salesforce implementations (NPSP/NPC or EDA)
What We Offer
  • High‑energy collaborative atmosphere
  • Encouraging and supportive work environment
  • Opportunity to work with new technologies
  • Opportunity for professional development and growth
  • Training, mentoring, and opportunity to obtain professional certifications
  • Competitive salary, STD LTD, health plan, 401K with company match, company contribution to Health Savings Account
  • Educational Loan Assistance
