Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Tech Advisory Consulting Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technology strategy, IT project management, and business process analysis. As a Tech Advisory Consultant Manager, you will work closely with clients to assess their technology needs, develop tailored solutions, and oversee the implementation of strategic initiatives. Below are example service offerings our tech advisory team delivers on behalf of our clients:

IT Due Diligence

  • As part of a Private Equity Group's evaluation of a target company, we assess the current state of IT and provide key recommendations for post-investment execution.
  • Key Areas of assessment Include: IT spend, IT organizational structure, business applications, security, IT infrastructure, and capacity to meet future business needs.

IT Strategy Roadmaps

  • We uncover key business objectives, assess the current IT state, and outline a multi-year IT strategy of many IT initiatives to drive results
  • We assess the risk and potential business impact of each project and create a phased approach for the implementation of these critical initiatives

IT System Selection

  • We guide companies through the process of making their most critical and long-lasting IT decisions
  • We uncover key business requirements, research potential providers, assess alternative IT vendors, and build consensus around the winner

IT Project Management Office/Office of the CIO

Key Responsibilities:

Client Engagement: Partner with clients to understand their business objectives, technology challenges, and opportunities. Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop actionable technology strategies that align with their goals.

Strategic Planning: Develop and deliver technology roadmaps and implementation plans. Provide guidance on IT governance, risk management, and compliance.

Project Oversight: Oversee IT projects from inception to completion. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget by coordinating with implementation partners and stakeholders.

Business Process Review: Analyze clients' business processes to identify opportunities for improvement and digital transformation.

Technology Solutions: Evaluate and recommend technology solutions that meet clients' needs. Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to provide innovative solutions.

Stakeholder Communication: Facilitate clear and effective communication with clients, team members, and senior management. Prepare and present reports, proposals, and strategic recommendations.

Mentorship and Development: Mentor junior consultants and contribute to the development of the consulting practice. Share knowledge and best practices with the team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred
  • Must have at least five (5) years of experience in technology consulting including IT Due Diligence, IT project management, or a similar role servicing private equity clients
  • Experience with Manufacturing & Distribution clients is a plus
  • Must have previous data analytics experience
  • Strong understanding of technology infrastructure, software development, and digital transformation
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
  • Strong project management skills with a track record of successfully delivering complex projects
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, ITIL, COBIT) are a plus
  • Hybrid or Remote work arrangement
  • 25-50% travel required

At Crowe, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $115,000.00 - $184,000.00 per year.
