GENERAL FUNCTION:
The Senior Treasury Analyst - ALM performs advanced analysis and supports strategic initiatives within the Treasury department, with a focus on asset/liability management. This role leverages technical expertise to assess balance sheet risk and return, support decision-making, and contributes to enterprise-wide business strategy. The analyst works independently on complex problems, interprets internal and external data and trends, and works to drive best-in-class processes.
This position is accountable for identifying, assessing, managing, and reporting risks in alignment with the Bank's risk appetite. The role requires a commitment to integrity, collaboration, personal development, and delivering a positive cultural experience.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Conduct complex financial and risk analyses related to balance sheet positioning, net interest income (NII), and interest rate risk.
  • Utilize ALM concepts and financial models to evaluate the Bancorp's risk/return profile.
  • Perform scenario and sensitivity analyses to assess the impact of market changes on the balance sheet.
  • Provide insights into the Bank's earnings and risk exposures; contribute to strategies that optimize risk-adjusted returns.
  • Prepare materials and presentations for executive management and ALCO meetings.
  • Monitor and report on key risk metrics, including NII, Economic Value of Equity (EVE), and NII at Risk.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Risk, and Business Lines for balance sheet and NII forecasting while aligning ALM strategies with enterprise objectives.
  • Advise stakeholders on Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP) methodologies and their implications for loan and deposit pricing.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
May lead functional teams or projects. May formally or informally supervise more junior analyst(s) on assigned workflow items or projects.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED (no edits permitted)
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 5-7+ years of Treasury-related experience in one or more areas: ALM, FP&A, Corporate Finance, Funding/Liquidity, or Investment Portfolio. Other relevant areas may be considered.
  • Strong analytical, modeling, data interpretation, and database management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with SQL and data visualization tools (i.e. Power BI).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities independently and take initiative.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Financial services, risk management, or banking industry experience preferred.
