ETL Business Analyst Lead

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced BSA Lead to support our IT Corporate Finance Regulatory Reporting team. This role will lead business systems analysis efforts across regulatory reporting initiatives, ensuring high‑quality data, compliance with banking regulations, and successful delivery of complex financial data solutions. The ideal candidate has strong finance domain knowledge, hands‑on data and analytics experience, and proven leadership in agile and hybrid delivery environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee Business Systems Analysis activities for regulatory reporting initiatives within Corporate Finance.
  • Act as the primary liaison between Finance, Regulatory, Data Engineering, and IT teams.
  • Drive requirements gathering, documentation, and validation for regulatory reporting solutions.
  • Lead change management efforts, including impact analysis, stakeholder communication, and release coordination.
  • Provide production support leadership, including issue triage, root cause analysis, and remediation.
  • Ensure strong understanding and documentation of data lineage, data sourcing, transformations, and controls.
  • Partner with data engineering teams to support ETL pipelines, data quality checks, and reconciliation.
  • Review and validate regulatory reporting outputs for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
  • Support audits, regulatory exams, and internal risk/compliance reviews.
  • Mentor junior BSAs and provide day‑to‑day functional leadership.
  • Participate actively in Agile ceremonies (stand‑ups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, retrospectives).
  • Coordinate across hybrid delivery models (Agile + Waterfall).

Required Skills & Experience

  • 7+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst in banking or financial services.
  • Prior experience as a Lead BSA or functional lead.
  • Strong experience in banking regulatory reporting (e.g., financial, capital, liquidity, or risk reporting).
  • Solid finance domain knowledge, particularly within Corporate Finance.
  • Hands‑on experience with:
    • Snowflake
    • ETL processes and data pipelines
    • Python (for data analysis, validation, or automation)
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Data lineage and data governance
    • Source‑to‑target mappings and transformations
    • Data controls and reconciliation
  • Experience supporting production environments in regulated settings.
  • Proven change management experience in large enterprise initiatives.
  • Strong documentation skills (BRDs, FRDs, data mapping, lineage diagrams).
  • Experience working in Agile and hybrid environments.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working within Corporate Finance or Regulatory Reporting IT teams.
  • Familiarity with banking regulatory bodies and standards.
  • Prior experience supporting audits and regulatory examinations.
