A growing and innovative engineering firm is looking to add a Senior Aviation Engineering Project Manager for their Indianapolis team!


Responsibilities:

  • Business Development responsibilities:
  • Develop new business
  • Identify/market additional business opportunities for existing clients
  • Client relations management
  • Participate in proposal presentations
  • Utilize CRM for tracking all business development activities
  • Meet with new/existing clients to gather project information
  • Develop proposal sections and scopes of work with technical staff
  • Management responsibilities:
  • Manage overall financial performance and day-to-day operations
  • Implement growth/sales plans
  • Develop strategic plan for department
  • Manage/deliver quality aviation projects on-time and within budget
  • Meet/exceed client expectations
  • Conduct job hazard analysis
  • Create job site specific health/safety plans
  • Mentor/train junior staff
  • Utilize staff to keep project on budget
  • Technical responsibilities:
  • Manage multiple projects at once
  • Provide technical direction/development on scope of work
  • Mitigate project risk
  • Assign projects to designers/engineers
  • Manage scope
  • Identify/document changes in scope and acquire amendments for changes
  • Perform airfield civil engineering design tasks
  • Manage the bidding process

  • Define scope of work and man-hour requirements
  • Ensure tasks, project schedules, and budgets are met
  • Create engineering reports, specifications, cost estimates, and prepare final bid packages
  • Lead project decisions regarding technical aspects, cost, and schedule
  • Identify schedule/cost variances and recommend corrective action


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
  • Master’s degree in civil engineering is preferred
  • 8+ years of significant airside design
  • PE License
  • Experience in the successful application of FAA criteria/regulations
  • Project management experience
  • Business development/marketing experience (writing proposals, scopes of work, budgets)
  • Experience using project management software


Salary is commensurate with experience.
