Role: Sr. Project Engineer

Salary: $100K-$125K

Location: Lebanon, IN

Duration: Permanent/Direct Hire


Position Summary

The Senior Project Engineer supports the Project Manager throughout the project lifecycle, with a focus on document control, procurement, material coordination, project administration, and project controls. The ideal candidate understands electrical construction sequencing and proactively keeps projects organized and on schedule.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage project documentation from kickoff through closeout.
  • Coordinate RFIs, submittals, purchase orders, material releases, and change orders.
  • Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, fabrication facilities, field teams, and project management.
  • Review drawings and specifications to identify procurement needs and project risks.
  • Align procurement with construction sequencing and installation schedules.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and project controls.
  • Manage multiple projects while maintaining strong organization and accuracy.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of Project Engineering experience supporting electrical construction projects.
  • Experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, life sciences, industrial, or other regulated environments.
  • Strong experience with procurement, document control, material coordination, and project administration.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing and procurement workflows.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and contract documents.

Preferred

  • GMP/cGMP, cleanroom, or FDA-regulated facility experience.
  • Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, and advanced Excel.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
