Lead with Expertise as a Water Resources Engineer — Innovate and Deliver Sustainable Solutions

Are you ready to make a significant impact with your advanced engineering skills in wastewater infrastructure? Do you excel at solving intricate challenges and participating in projects that protect public health and the environment?

CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Water Resources Engineer to join our Water/Wastewater Team in Santa Claus, Loogootee, or Evansville, IN and lead the way in designing, developing, and implementing innovative solutions for wastewater collection systems. This is your opportunity to take ownership of complex projects, mentor junior engineers, and play a pivotal role in advancing our technical capabilities for sustainable communities.


  • Provide advanced judgement and analysis techniques to complete complex engineering designs, technical reports, specifications, and contract documents for wastewater collection systems such as sewer and pump stations
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate detailed phases of projects with other engineering disciplines and project management staff
  • Monitor project progress and performance to ensure efficient production and minimize issues in vital infrastructure
  • Complete projects within budget and scheduling constraints, supporting sustainable and cost-effective solutions
  • Provide guidance and technical review for junior engineering staff

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering required
  • Minimum of 4 years of discipline-specific engineering experience required
  • Knowledge of various technologies such as oxidation ditches, activated sludge, extended aeration, waste stabilization lagoons, and SBR
  • Knowledge of wastewater design software
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required
  • Advanced proficiency in engineering, computational, and modeling software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.), as well as Microsoft Office
  • Strong knowledge of QA/QC procedures, business practices, and engineering laws
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Participation in professional engineering societies/organizations preferred

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
