As part of its growth, the company is looking for a Junior Electrical Engineer who wants to develop their electrical design skills and grow within an experienced technical team.
This is a great opportunity for a young electrical engineer looking to gain hands-on experience in industrial design, work on a variety of technical projects and receive support in their professional development, including towards obtaining their professional engineering license.

Permanent, full-time position.
Salary of $67,000 to $74,000 depending on experience for a CPI or early-career engineer working towards their P.Eng.
Salary of $74,000 to $90,000 for a junior engineer who already holds their P.Eng.
Day shift, 40 hours/week.

Your responsibilities :
Participate in the design of electrical systems for various industrial equipment.
Create and update electrical schematics using AutoCAD Electrical.
Participate in the development of control panel drawings and electrical component layouts.
Contribute to the design of power, control and automation systems.
Assist with electrical component selection and preparation of technical bills of materials.
Participate in equipment testing, commissioning and validation.
Perform electrical checks during equipment start-ups and assist in troubleshooting technical issues.
Prepare and maintain technical documentation according to applicable standards.
Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing and commissioning teams.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of design methods and standards.
Gradually develop greater autonomy across projects and responsibilities.

Your profile

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in industrial electrical design.
Experience with AutoCAD Electrical - required.
CPI status or P.Eng. designation is an asset.
Interest in pursuing professional engineering licensure.
Knowledge of industrial control systems, PLCs and variable frequency drives is an asset.
Knowledge of North American electrical standards is an asset.
Functional French and English.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good attention to detail and willingness to learn.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Curious, proactive and interested in industrial and manufacturing environments.
