Job description

DESCRIPTION:
The mission of the Blue Square Alliance Against Hate (BSA) is to win the hearts and minds of non-Jews and Jews through powerful positive messaging and partnerships, motivating and equipping them to be defenders of and upstanders for Jews. BSA focuses on spreading the Blue Square and associated programs to spur action by people of all backgrounds.
BSA operates as a world-class marketing organization, producing high-impact advertising, including Super Bowl advertisements, and dozens of weekly social media posts, digital ads, and campaigns. Our marketing efforts reach millions of Americans who are unengaged on the topic of antisemitism, using research, testing, and performance data to increase awareness, shift attitudes, and drive action to stand up to Jewish hate.
SUMMARY:
The Principal Marketing Insights Analyst leads BSA's measurement, reporting, and insights activities across marketing campaigns, partner programs, and related initiatives. This role focuses on analyzing marketing performance and program data, designing measurement plans and market research studies, translating findings into clear, actionable insights that guide campaign optimization and program evaluation, and communicating overall impact to executive leadership. The Analyst integrates marketing performance, market research, and program data into a consistent view of impact; vets methodologies with external partners; and serves as a cross-functional thought partner aligning teams on success metrics, measurement plans, and actionable insights that guide decisions.
This is a hands-on analytical role responsible for leading complex marketing measurement, market research, and performance analysis activities while providing data-driven insights that support organizational decision making. The analyst will collaborate closely with leadership, marketing, partner, and external teams to ensure data is accurate, insights are actionable, and reporting is consistent. The ideal candidate has extensive hands-on experience with paid social media data and analytics.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Analyze marketing and program performance across paid media, websites, social media, and partner initiatives to identify trends, opportunities, and performance drivers.
  2. Develop measurement plans, establish campaign KPIs, monitor performance trends and risks, and recommend optimization opportunities.
  3. Partner with internal teams and third-party vendors to evaluate and continuously improve analytical methodologies and measurement frameworks.
  4. Develop data-driven insights and actionable analysis that inform campaign optimization, audience strategy and program design.
  5. Lead the design, execution, and analysis of market research, including qualitative and quantitative surveys and experiments, to generate insights into target audiences and their response to BSA's campaigns and programs.
  6. Prepare and deliver executive dashboards and regular reporting on campaign and program performance, ensuring accuracy and consistency across sources.
  7. Ensure marketing performance data quality through validation, QA checks, and reconciliation across platforms and vendors.
  8. Collaborate with external agencies and partners to gather data and support performance analysis.
  9. Develop clear, concise presentations and executive-ready summaries that communicate key insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
  10. Serve as the primary subject matter expert on BSA's marketing measurement and analytics tools, continuously improving how the organization ingests, classifies, and analyzes campaign and program performance data.
  11. Provide guidance to junior analysts and post-graduate fellows on marketing analysis, measurement, and reporting projects.
  12. Special projects and assignments as business dictates.
  13. Responsible for the maintenance, creation, and control of personally identifiable information and other protected information, including information governed by Company Policies and applicable regulations such as HIPAA.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Deep familiarity with paid social and other digital marketing channels (e.g., SEM) and common performance metrics is a must.
  • Excellent communication skills, with a track record of distilling disparate data into clear, concise narratives for senior leaders.
  • Experience working with analytics tools such as Google Analytics, advertising platform reporting tools, or comparable digital marketing analytics platforms.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interpret data and communicate insights clearly to non-technical audiences.
  • Experience designing or analyzing quantitative and qualitative market research studies, surveys, or experiments is preferred.
