Brown Technologies is currently seeking a Junior Cyber Analyst who is a self-starter supporting U.S. Army customers located in San Antonio, TX.


DESCRIPTION:

Brown Technologies is anticipating contract awards supporting multiple U.S. Army customers. We are seeking Junior Cyber Analysts with experience in assessing security controls and supporting Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes in accordance with NIST 800-53. The selected candidates will support cybersecurity compliance, documentation, and system accreditation activities across a variety of IT environments.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Review RMF packages for completeness and technical accuracy
• Assess system designs for compliance with NIST 800-53 and DoD cybersecurity policies for on-premise and cloud environments
• Review security assessment documentation and provide feedback
• Develop and maintain cybersecurity artifacts including SSPs, SARs, RARs, SCTMs, POA&Ms, and supporting documentation
• Support systems throughout all phases of the RMF lifecycle
• Maintain information assurance and accreditation documentation
• Provide recommendations to secure networks, servers, workstations, and other IT assets
• Conduct audits to ensure compliance with security policies, procedures, and best practices


Additional Duties:

• Assist with ongoing monitoring and compliance activities
• Support cybersecurity documentation updates and system changes
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address security findings and risks
• Stay current with cybersecurity policies, standards, and emerging threats


QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:
• U.S. Citizen with an active Secret Clearance
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 2+ years of experience
OR Associate’s degree with 6+ years of experience
OR High School diploma with 8+ years of experience
• Ability to obtain Security+ CE (or equivalent) within 6 months of hire
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred:
• Experience with eMASS
• Experience with RMF processes
• Active Security+ CE certification (or equivalent)
