The Jr. Manufacturing Technician will be a hands-on member of the engineering team, supporting the evaluation, troubleshooting, repair, and testing of returned actuator and motion control products through the Return Material Authorization (RMA) process. This position provides practical experience working with electro-mechanical and electro-hydraulic systems, allowing the individual to develop skills in mechanical assembly, failure analysis, root cause investigation, product testing, technical documentation, and customer service. The Engineering Technician will identify product issues, support corrective actions, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives while gaining real-world experience in a fast-paced engineering environment. Responsibilities will also include commissioning, tuning, and troubleshooting servo drive systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

·         Learn and become proficient with Kyntronics products

·         Perform failure analysis and root-cause investigations on returned actuators

·         Disassemble, inspect electro-mechanical actuators and electro-hydraulic actuators

·         Support functional testing and validation

·         Communicating with customers

·         Ability to read electrical, mechanical (3D), and hydraulic prints

·         Support Kyntronics product lines including troubleshooting, both pre and post shipment

·         Work with multiple disciplinary engineers to achieve unique solutions for the customer

·         Support moving development projects forward

·         Provide critical technical information to Engineering for product improvement

·         May, on occasion, be required to perform other duties as necessary

·         Must be able to sit, stand, walk, and bend for long periods of time
