The Engineering Intern will design, manufacture, and test products using predetermined engineering calculations, 3-D drawing software, and lab tools to develop custom designs that meet industry specifications and requirements as determined by a mentoring engineer. Assist manufacturing engineers with production of custom designs in a production environment. Work independently on machine and/or process design projects.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare technical drawings.
  • Determine labor estimates.
  • Run prototype parts through manufacturing.
  • Design components as needed.
  • Work on assigned tasks related to large scale engineering projects.
  • Complete small scale engineering projects independently.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Cad experience (preferably a 3-D software package).
  • Good mechanical aptitude.
  • Good math and communication skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Working towards a technical engineering degree (BSME or Mechanical Engineer Technology preferred).
