Job description

JOB PURPOSE

To support design and development of products used in Fluid Handling systems. Position involves providing ideas, inputs and analysis as a manufacturing engineering team member.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Participate in new product development as a member of manufacturing team by:
    • Analysis of competitive products
    • Creation of detailed design drawings
    • Analysis of design to applicable standards (SAE, UL, etc.)
    • Analysis of design using engineering analysis tools and techniques (Finite Element Analysis, etc.)
    • Review of instruction manuals and product literature
    • Lab and field testing
    • Work effectively in a team environment
  • Analysis of Graco and competitive products including performance, features, cost, etc.
  • Assist in standard product support activities, such as:
    • Analyzing and writing products for Engineering Change Orders
    • Troubleshooting product problems in manufacturing area
    • "Minors" (cost reduction, packages, product upgrade)
  • Maintain current level of technical knowledge
  • Develop knowledge of:
    • Graco product line
    • Operational systems
    • Graco and industry design standards
    • Graco Quality Management System
    • Graco customer applications and requirements
  • Other duties as assigned


POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma
  • Completion of second year Engineering program
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Good mechanical/electrical aptitude

The base pay range for this position is listed below, exclusive of fringe benefits or other compensation. If you are hired, your final base hourly rate will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, competencies, education, and/or experience. In addition to those factors, we will also consider internal equity of our current employees. Please keep in mind that the range provided is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at or near the maximum of the range would not be typical to allow for future and continued salary growth.
