Position Overview:
BLN24 is seeking a Junior Data Integration Developer to support the development
and integration of cloud-native data services and backend integration solutions
for mission-critical forecasting and data modernization systems. This role focuses
on building and maintaining REST APIs, integrating external data services,
processing and validating large datasets, and supporting scalable backend
integration services using AWS cloud technologies.
The selected candidate will support data transformation, API integrations,
geospatial data workflows, and cloud-native integration pipelines while
collaborating with development teams using Agile and modern development
practices.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Build and maintain RESTful APIs and backend integration services.
  • Develop mock APIs and OpenAPI specifications for system integrations.
  • Support scalable backend services using AWS cloud technologies.
  • Perform data transformation, validation, and processing for large datasets.
  • Assist with geospatial data integration and processing workflows.
  • Support event-driven and streaming data integration pipelines.
  • Support integration testing and API validation activities.
  • Document data flows, API integrations, and system integration patterns.
  • Integrate AWS services including Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, API Gateway, and CloudFront.
  • Develop and execute unit and integration tests.
  • Participate in code reviews and support development best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve integration and application issues.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 1–2 years of experience in backend development, API integration, data integration, or web application development.
  • Experience with RESTful API development and integration.
  • Experience with AWS cloud services and cloud-native development patterns.
  • Familiarity with JavaScript/TypeScript and frontend frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes/EKS environments.
  • Understanding of AWS Lambda and serverless architecture concepts.
  • Experience with Git version control and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
     
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with geospatial or mapping libraries such as Mapbox, Leaflet, or OpenLayers.
