Position Description Summary

APT Research is looking for a Junior Engineer to support an upcoming missiles contract in Huntsville, AL

Required Minimum Education/Experience:

  • Candidate must possess a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or equivalent technical degree.
  • Critically Important: Energy, attitude, and proactive spirit are a must!

  • Must be able to work in an inclusive and communicative team environment (within both large and small teams), both internal employee's and with customers present.

Preferred Experience:

  • System Safety experience in the aerospace industry, system safety experience for a government contractor or commercial space program.
  • Fault Tree Analysis experience.

Security Clearance Requirement: (applicants selected for positions requiring a Security Clearance will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information):

  • An active Secret clearance (or higher), or the ability to get and maintain a Secret clearance is required.

Essential Job Functions

  • Office environment
  • Requires ability to provide clear, concise, accurate, and timely communication, both verbally and written
  • Ability to interact professionally with coworkers, management, and customers
  • Requires ability to travel domestically (within the U.S.) <15%

Physical Requirements:

  • Requires sitting for extended periods of time at a workstation / desk
  • Ability to lift >15 lbs.
