Job description

Junior Designer / Production Artist — Retail, E-Commerce & Marketing

About Monmouth Cards
Monmouth Cards is a fast-growing sports card, collectibles, retail, e-commerce, and hobby brand with expanding stores, online sales, live-streaming, and marketing operations.
We’re hiring two Junior Designer / Production Artists who are detail-oriented, organized, fast, and comfortable supporting a high-volume creative team.
This role focuses on creating clean, accurate, on-brand assets for retail, e-commerce, marketing, social, email, web, print, signage, promotions, events, and in-store materials. You’ll work with the Creative Director and marketing team to turn approved concepts, templates, and brand systems into polished final assets.
What you’ll do
Create digital, print, retail, e-commerce, and marketing assets.
Build layouts for promotions, product launches, store announcements, events, social posts, email graphics, website banners, ads, flyers, signage, and other marketing materials.
Prepare production-ready files with correct sizing, resolution, bleeds, trim, safe zones, file formats, export settings, and vendor requirements.
Handle high-volume production work, including resizing, versioning, copy swaps, image placement, layout updates, promotion updates, product graphics, store-specific assets, and final exports.
Retouch and prepare product and lifestyle photos, including color correction, cleanup, masking, background removal, cutouts, and basic compositing.
Maintain brand consistency across typography, spacing, alignment, image treatment, logos, colors, pricing, promotions, and production details.
Keep files, links, references, proofs, and exports organized, searchable, and easy for the team to use.
Review assets for quality and accuracy before handoff, including design, sizing, spelling, pricing, formatting, and production issues.
Support proofing, revisions, vendor handoff, printers, internal teams, and store operators.
Help the creative and marketing teams move quickly while keeping quality high.
What you bring
2–3+ years of design, production, marketing, e-commerce, retail, or print production experience.
Strong Adobe Creative Suite skills, especially Photoshop and Illustrator. InDesign is a plus.
A portfolio showing strong layout, production, branding, retail, e-commerce, or marketing work.
Understanding of resolution, file formats, sizing, export specs, bleeds, trim, safe zones, print setup, and vendor handoff.
Strong attention to detail across alignment, spacing, typography, image quality, file setup, pricing, spelling, and production accuracy.
Strong file organization, including clean layers, naming, links, packaged files, version control, and exports.
Comfort working within templates, brand systems, and production guidelines.
Photo-editing fundamentals, including retouching, masking, cutouts, cleanup, compositing, and preparing images for web, marketing, and print.
Ability to handle repetitive, detail-heavy production work without losing accuracy.
Collaborative mindset, willingness to take direction, ask good questions, and keep projects moving.
Ability to work in a fast-paced retail and e-commerce environment where priorities can shift quickly.
Bonus points
Experience with retail, e-commerce, collectibles, sports, entertainment, consumer products, or fast-moving marketing teams.
Interest in sports cards, collectibles, hobby culture, live selling, retail marketing, or sports.
Experience creating assets for Shopify, Klaviyo, Meta ads, TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Whatnot, or similar platforms.
Comfort using AI tools to improve creative production speed, image cleanup, asset organization, versioning, and workflow efficiency.
Motion, video, or 3D skills are a plus.
