Title: L3 Azure Integration Engineer

Location: Austin TX

Primary Skill: Azure Integration Development

Type of Work: Hybrid in customer location (Austin)

Working Hours: 8 - 5 - CST time zone

Working Hours:

40 Hours a week. Rotational On call support during non-business hours and Monthly Once Sunday

Production Deployment Support.

Job Summary:

The Azure Integration Developer is responsible for designing, building, deploying, and supporting

scalable integration solutions between Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement and external systems

using Azure integration services.This role emphasizes serverless and messaging-based

architectures, infrastructure-as-code deployments, and production support ownership in SLA

driven environments.The developer works closely with Solution Architects, functional consultants,

and operations teams to deliver secure, resilient, and maintainable integrations. The ideal

candidate will have extensive experience in large-scale Dynamics 365 CE development and support

projects, including external integrations. They should be self-driven and possess expertise in

managing production environments to enhance operational efficiency and implement

improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide L2/L3 production support for Azure-based integrations.

Troubleshoot and resolve integration failures, performance issues, and data inconsistencies.

Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting using Application Insights and Azure diagnostics.

Participate in on-call rotations and incident/problem management processes.

Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive improvements.

Design and develop integrations between Dynamics 365 CE and external systems using:

o Azure Function Apps (including Durable Functions)

o Azure Logic Apps

o Azure Service Bus (Queues & Topics)

o Azure Data Factory (ADF)

Implement event-driven, asynchronous, and fault-tolerant integration patterns.

Develop APIs and services to handle inbound and outbound data exchange with D365 CE

(Dataverse).

Ensure integrations adhere to performance, scalability, and reliability best practices.

Implement ARM / Bicep / YAML-based infrastructure and deployment pipelines.

Support CI/CD pipelines for integration components using Azure DevOps.

Manage environment-specific configurations and secure parameterization (Key Vault).

Support controlled deployments across Dev, Test, UAT, and Production environments.

Ensure secure integration design using managed identities, RBAC, and secure endpoints.

Implement retry policies, dead-letter handling, idempotency, and exception management.

Maintain integration documentation, runbooks, and operational SOPs.

Support audit, compliance, and security reviews.

Collaborate with D365 CE functional teams to understand business integration requirements.

Work with Solution Architects to align integrations with enterprise architecture standards.

Support UAT and release validation for integration scenarios.

Proactively recommend improvements to stability, performance, and cost optimization.

Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels to provide regular updates on progress,

challenges, and resolutions.

Be available as an on-call support engineer on a rotational basis during non-business hours to

support critical production incidents.

Qualifications:

10+ years of hands-on experience supporting and troubleshooting Dynamics 365 Customer

Engagement (CE) and Azure Integration applications.

Dynamics 365 & Dataverse

o Experience integrating with Dynamics 365 CE / Dataverse using:

o Web APIs

o Plugins or event-based triggers

o Understanding of CE entities, data model, and security concepts.

Azure Integration Services (Core Skills)

o Azure Function Apps (strong hands-on experience)

Durable Functions (orchestration, state management)

o Azure Logic Apps

o Azure Service Bus

Queues, Topics, Subscriptions

o Azure Data Factory

o Data movement, transformations, scheduling

DevOps & Deployment

o Experience with ARM / Bicep / YAML pipelines for Azure deployments.

o Strong working knowledge of Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.

o Experience managing multi-environment deployments and release governance.

Production Support & Monitoring

o Experience in production support for Azure integrations.

o Strong troubleshooting skills using:

Log Analytics

Azure Monitor

o Understanding of ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change Management).

Programming & Tools

o Proficiency in Jscript, C#/.NET (preferred) or equivalent backend language.

o Experience with REST APIs, JSON, OAuth, and secure authentication mechanisms.

o Familiarity with version control systems (Git).

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain technical

concepts to non-technical users.

Microsoft Dynamics 365 certifications are a plus but not required.

Preferred Skills:

Experience working in an ITIL-based support environment.

Familiarity with GDPR, data security, and compliance requirements within Dynamics 365

implementations.

Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced

environment.
