Inspection Documentation Specialist Position Summary

The Inspection Document Specialist plays a critical role in supporting JR Metal Works' quality assurance process by ensuring inspection records, certifications, and quality documents are accurate, complete, and properly maintained. This position works closely with the inspection team, receiving personnel, and Quality Supervisor to coordinate documentation needs, monitor compliance requirements, and improve the internal quality systems and reporting processes.

Inspection Documentation Specialist Core Responsibilities

1. Ensure all VQC transaction results and data are logged; send reports to Quality Manager on a weekly basis.

2. Ensure materials, parts, and consumables meet all quality standards.

3. Collaborate with inspection team on jobs being completed, such as completing required job documents once inspectors are completed with inspections.

4. HighQA expert.

5. Perform daily and weekly tasks such as reviewing previous day's accepted jobs to identify what inspections/ reports are required- log as necessary.

6. Maintain necessary documents and save into job folders.

7. Risk analysis of current processes for optimizations and efficiency increases.

8. Follow inspection documentation throughout job cycle.

9. Assist Quality Systems Lead with any special projects.

10. Participate in training for continued improvement of the Quality Control and inspection process.

Inspection Documentation Specialist Qualifications and Skills

Prior experience in quality control, manufacturing documentation, inspection support, or admin coordination preferred.

Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies and incomplete records.

Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.

Ability to read and understand manufacturing documentation, material certifications, and inspection reports.

Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and with suppliers.
