GENERAL PURPOSE
  • Develops, constructs and alters a wide variety of fixtures, gauges and automated machines.
  • Performs Tool Room operations involving extremely close tolerances.
  • Plans construction procedures and methods to complete assignments as well as selecting proper materials.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Computes dimensions, determines machining methods and material or parts required.
  • Continuously improve skill set.
  • Demonstrated use of good judgement, balancing cost, quality and timing.
  • Effectively uses design tools, E-drawings/Solidworks to complete machining and build tasks.
  • Fabricates components and assembles tools, machines and fixtures by analyzing blueprints, sketches and models.
  • Operates and programs CNC equipment.
  • Performs precision work to exacting tolerance and dimensions, using a variety of hand and precision tools.
  • Provide guidance and instruction to help develop team members in specific areas of expertise.
  • Reviews designs, uses substitutions in material based on machinability or fabrication problems.
  • Solves problems related to unusual materials, work holding arrangements, machine settings, fabrication methods or production process.
  • Supports break downs, drop in jobs, and installations.
  • Works effectively under extremely tight deadlines.

  • Demonstrated technical aptitude is required for this position.
  • Must be able to obtain appropriate licensing for any special equipment required for the position to include hilo/ personal cart.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Must have the flexibility to change work schedule to support break downs, drop-in jobs, and installations.
  • Understanding of continuous improvement lean processes in preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively use office automation, communication, software and tools used in the HMI operations environment.
  • Must be able to perform all essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
