Job Description
Established (95+ Years) Premier Company Seeking Senior Machinist for Precision Manufacturing in Peoria, IL!
An established machinery manufacturing company based in Peoria, IL with over 95 years in business is seeking a Senior Machinist with 7-10+ years of experience to join their team! The role focuses on manual and CNC machining operations, producing complex parts while mentoring junior team members and contributing to a stable, long-standing manufacturing operation.

Qualifications:

Machinist with 7-10+ years of experience
Strong manual machining background with hands-on expertise across mills, lathes, automats, drills, and grinders etc.
Proven experience operating CNC equipment in a production setting 
Demonstrated ability to produce complex, difficult, or custom parts with precision and quality 
Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to pick up new techniques quickly 
Willingness to coach and train junior machinists on the shop floor 
Fixture building experience is a strong plus 
Interest in eventually stepping into a team leadership or management role
 

Responsibilities:
Operate manual machining equipment including mills, lathes, automats, drills, and grinders to produce precision components 
Run CNC machines for short-run production and custom part manufacturing 
Troubleshoot complex machining issues and resolve technical challenges on the floor 
Produce difficult, one-off, or custom parts that require advanced technical skill 
Mentor and train junior machinists on best practices, techniques, and safety standards 
Build fixtures to support production needs when required 
Collaborate with programming staff to help design and build components 
Contribute to a culture of quality, safety, and continuous improvement across the shop
