At Technox, this position plays a critical role in producing complex, oversized precision components while supporting high-quality machining operations in a shop known for large horizontal boring mills, vertical turning lathes, planer mills, and heavy fabrication capabilities.

The Work You’ll Be Doing

In this role, you will:

• Set up and operate CNC horizontal boring mills for large-part machining applications
• Work from blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to machine precision components
• Edit and troubleshoot CNC programs as needed at the machine
• Verify tooling, workholding, offsets, and machine setup before production
• Machine large and complex components for industrial and heavy manufacturing applications
• Perform first-article and in-process inspections using precision measuring equipment
• Maintain dimensional accuracy and part quality throughout the machining process
• Collaborate with programmers, machinists, fabrication personnel, and quality teams to improve processes and workflow
• Troubleshoot machining issues and make adjustments to feeds, speeds, tooling, and offsets as needed
• Maintain a safe, organized, and professional work environment

What We’re Looking ForRequired

• CNC machining experience with horizontal machining centers or horizontal boring mills
• Experience with large-part machining
• Strong understanding of CNC programming, Mastercam, and G-code
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Experience using precision measuring tools and inspection equipment
• Strong setup, tooling, and troubleshooting abilities
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Safety-minded attitude and strong work ethic

Preferred

• Experience with Toshiba boring mills or large HBMs
• Experience machining oversized or heavy industrial components
• Familiarity with fabrication or repair machining environments
• Multi-axis machining experience
• Experience with crane-served machining operations

Pay, Benefits & SchedulePay Range

• $27- $40/hr (DOE)
• Typical pay is approximately $27–$28/hr for machinists focused primarily on operation or vertical machining work
• Experienced setup machinists, programmers, and large-part CNC machinists commonly fall into the $30–$35+/hr range
• Higher compensation is typically tied to horizontal boring mill experience, large-part machining, setup capability, and programming skills
