This role goes beyond standard JIRA administration and requires significant handson experience in scripting, development, Jira Automation and largescale migration activities

 

Role Overview:

The Jira Support Engineer will be responsible for administering, configuring, and supporting Jira environments for business and technical teams. This role requires strong Jira administration capabilities, including automation and scripting, along with solid organizational and communication skills to ensure smooth operations and user support.

 

Technical Skills

  • Handson experience with Jira administration (minimum 3–5 years preferred).
  • Strong understanding of Jira workflows, schemes, permission management, and configurations.
  • Experience in Jira automation (Automation for Jira, ScriptRunner, or similar).
  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as Groovy, JavaScript, or Python is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of Confluence integration is preferred.

 

Organizational & Functional Skills

  • Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Ability to understand business processes and map them into Jira workflows.
  • Strong communication and documentation abilities.
