Job description

The organization has already established the Jira instance and integrated it with existing authentication systems (SSO/MFA). This role will be primarily hands-on, responsible for configuring Jira to meet immediate business needs while ensuring the platform is structured for scalability and usability. The Jira Administrator will also provide targeted input on licensing and configuration decisions to help balance desired functionality with efficient cost management.
Key Responsibilities
  • Configure and administer Jira to support project tracking, workflows, repositories, and test case management
  • Translate stakeholder requirements into practical Jira configurations, including workflows, issue types, fields, and permissions
  • Design and implement dashboards, boards, and reporting structures to support team visibility and delivery tracking
  • Establish foundational standards for project setup, naming conventions, and usage to promote consistency
  • Collaborate with IT, development, QA, and business teams to align Jira functionality with delivery processes
  • Provide input on Jira licensing, feature utilization, and configuration approaches to support cost-effective usage
  • Support user onboarding and provide guidance to teams adopting Jira for the first time
  • Troubleshoot issues and make iterative improvements during initial rollout
  • Document configurations and setup decisions to support ongoing administration and scalability

Required Skills & Experience
