Job description

A&P Mechanic (AeroAPJobs2025)The A&P Mechanic is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, inspecting, and performing maintenance on customer aircraft. This role requires performing and documenting all work in accordance with appropriate manuals and regulations.

  • Located in Windsor Locks CT.
  • Pays up to $51/hr + $875/ addition weekly per diem dependent on years of corporate aircraft mechanic experience

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, repair, install, inspect, and perform maintenance on customer aircraft.
  • Document work performed per appropriate manuals and regulations.
  • Operate ground support equipment as required.
  • Perform mechanical and electrical removals and installations.
  • Assist with fueling and de-fueling of aircraft.
  • Assist with engine removal and installation.
  • Assist with aircraft component repair.
  • A&P License
  • Minimum 4-5 years of experience working on aircraft OR 1-2 years working on corporate jets.
  • Ability to interpret and work with mechanical engineering drawings.
  • Effective communication skills in both written and verbal form.
  • Ownership of a basic set of hand tools with inventory and control capability.
  • Ability to obtain appropriate Ground Support Equipment Qualifications as required.
  • Willingness to work unscheduled overtime, including non-scheduled workdays and holidays.
  • Capability to work in seasonal or inclement weather conditions.
  • Ability to obtain a Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) badge, if applicable.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience on corporate jet aircraft, military fixed-wing, or commercial aircraft is preferred.
  • Basic PC skills are preferred.

Work EnvironmentThe position operates on a second shift from Monday to Thursday, 3:30 PM to 2:00 AM, and a weekend shift from Friday to Sunday, working 36 hours over three 12-hour days. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Windsor Locks, Connecticut.

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
