POSITION OVERVIEW
The Director of Information Technology leads MTI's IT organization and plays a central role in enabling reliable operations, strong security, and business performance across all MTI locations. This role sets technology priorities and guides investment decisions to improve how systems support the business as it grows, across both plant operations and corporate teams. It oversees the managers, teams, and partners responsible for delivering IT services across the organization.
Working closely with business unit leaders, this role strengthens compliance readiness and ensures IT services are dependable and responsive. The Director provides oversight and direction across IT functions, while day-to-day operations are managed by the Security, IT Operations, and Business Systems teams, with support from MTI's technology partners.
This position reports to the Chief Financial Officer.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Define and maintain MTI's IT strategy, priorities, and roadmap aligned with company goals
  • Guide technology investment decisions and provide executive visibility into performance, risks, and key initiatives
  • Help define and support the responsible adoption of AI technologies across the organization in alignment with business needs, security requirements, and compliance obligations
  • Maintain executive oversight of cybersecurity and compliance posture, including CMMC requirements
  • Work closely with the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) to monitor security risks, remediation plans, and material issues requiring escalation
  • Partner with business unit leaders to improve how systems support manufacturing and corporate functions as the business grows
  • Oversee the portfolio of enterprise applications and work on system improvements, reporting needs, and vendor planning
  • Ensure reliable delivery of infrastructure, cloud, end-user systems, and core IT services by guiding operational priorities
  • Ensure consistent operational processes for updates, configuration management, and user support
  • Provide leadership and direction across Security, IT Operations, and Business Systems to ensure effective collaboration
  • Manage strategic technology partner relationships to ensure security, service performance, and alignment with business needs
  • Coordinate across internal teams to ensure services are delivered reliably and aligned with business priorities
  • Support internal and external audit activities related to technology, security, and compliance

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS & PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in IT leadership, infrastructure, or enterprise systems
  • Experience leading IT functions in a regulated or security-focused environment preferred
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms, enterprise systems, and cybersecurity governance
  • Experience managing vendors and external service providers
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Ability to translate business needs into technology priorities
  • Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to manage risk and make practical technology decisions
  • Experience working across cross-functional teams and external partners
